After six weeks of investigation, the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs (IGAS) and the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) have issued their conclusions on the group of private nursing homes Orpea. Pointing to “serious dysfunctions” as well as “shortcomings on the human and organizational level”, the delegate minister in charge of autonomy, Brigitte Bourguignon, announced on Saturday March 26 on France Inter, that the State will file a complaint against and will claim reimbursement of public grants presumed to have been diverted from their purpose.

“In view of serious dysfunctions, we are able to tell you that the State is filing a complaint and seizing the public prosecutor” and “we demand restitution” public grants presumed diverted from their purposes, said the minister, relying on the reports of administrative inspections.
