In Boutcha, the streets transformed into an open-air cemetery

Rapes, summary executions, mutilations… The streets of Boutcha, in the suburbs of kyiv, illustrate the violence of the occupation by Russian forces which lasted more than a month. On April 2 and 3, more than 400 bodies were found on the streets of the city, according to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

“What has the city of Butcha done to Russia? », asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an address to the nation on Sunday, April 3. Outraged by the violence, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that “Humanity will experience the new Nuremberg trials”.
